Hi! I’m Sue,

I'm a wellbeing blogger, passionate about sharing my thoughts on how easy it is for us city folk to feel better about ourselves through reconnecting with nature.

I have worked in nature conservation in Scotland for over 25 years. Over the last few years, I have developed an interest in wellbeing and during lockdown completed a wellbeing life coach training course, though I do not practice as a coach.

I believe that nature is essential for our wellbeing, but I am concerned that even over my lifetime, modern life is removing us further and further from nature to the point that people are struggling with their general wellbeing. As a mother, this worries me. After all, people evolved in nature and were designed to thrive in it. However, more than 50% of people now live in cities and have little direct contact with nature.  Many have little understanding of just how much our lives are utterly dependent on it.

Through this blog I hope to highlight some simple, free, or low-cost ways of improving our wellbeing that are easy to do for people living in a city. All the ideas will help you to reconnect to nature and promote positive wellbeing.

I hope you find the posts useful, and you enjoy trying out some of the ideas.
